Senior Engineer (SASE / SSE)

About the
Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Engineer with
7-10 years of expertise in SASE/SSE technologies to provide technical
leadership across Zscaler and Netskope environments. The role requires deep
technical troubleshooting, ownership of complex L2/L3 escalations,
configuration reviews, production change validation, and close coordination
with OEM support teams. The successful candidate will also mentor engineers and
drive operational excellence while remaining actively involved in day-to-day
technical operations.
Key
Responsibilities
·
Mentor and guide L1-L3
engineers through technical coaching, knowledge sharing, and cross-skilling
initiatives.
·
Serve as the primary escalation
point for advanced issues involving connectivity, authentication, access
policies, integrations, and security controls.
·
Review configurations, Method
of Procedure (MOP) documents, rollback strategies, and production change
requests.
·
Perform platform health
assessments, policy optimization, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous
improvement activities.
·
Coordinate with Zscaler and
Netskope TAC teams to resolve critical incidents, product defects, and complex
technical challenges.
·
Support customer onboarding,
service transitions, and infrastructure enhancement projects.
·
Ensure adherence to operational
standards, security best practices, and service delivery commitments.
Required
Technical Skills
·
Zscaler (Mandatory): ZIA, ZPA,
Client Connector, App Connectors, SSL Inspection, DLP, Virtual Service Edge
(VSE).
·
Netskope: SSE/SWG, CASB, DLP,
Private Access (ZTNA), Cloud Firewall, DNS Security, Advanced Analytics.
·
Security Concepts: SASE, SSE,
Zero Trust, SWG, CASB, ZTNA, DLP.
·
Networking: TCP/IP, DNS,
HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, GRE, IPsec, and proxy technologies.
·
Identity & Integrations:
SAML, SSO, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, SIEM integrations, APIs.
·
Troubleshooting: Log analysis,
packet captures, traffic flow analysis, and in-depth RCA.
Preferred Skills
·
Automation and scripting using
Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, Ansible, or Terraform.
·
Experience with additional SASE
platforms such as Cisco Umbrella, Palo Alto Prisma Access, or Cloudflare Zero
Trust.
·
Exposure to managed services
environments and multi-customer support operations.

Qualifications
·
7-10 years of experience in
Network Security, Cloud Security, SASE/SSE, or Enterprise Security
environments.
·
Minimum 2-3 years in an L3
Engineer, Subject Matter Expert (SME), or Technical Lead role.
·
Proven hands-on experience with
Zscaler ZIA/ZPA and Netskope platforms.
·
Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.
·
Preferred Certifications:
Zscaler Certifications, Netskope Certifications, CCNP Security, CCSP, CISSP.
